Virtual Library Resources

UH System at Cinco Ranch students, faculty and staff can access library resources at all four UH System universities without the drive. At our virtual library, you can:

• Utilize online databases at all four UH System universities.
• Access books and journals electronically at all four UH System universities.
• Connect via the Internet to local and Houston Community College System libraries.
• Receive research assistance.
• Order books and articles from the UH System universities for delivery to the UH System at Cinco Ranch.

The library, which is open the same hours as our building, also has a small reference collection.

The Virtual Librarian is available from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Fridays. Students may reach Jean Mutschler, UHSCR Librarian, at 832.842.2865 or via e-mail at cincolibrary@uh.edu.

• The UH System at Cinco Ranch library supervisor can be reached via e-mail or telephone at cincolibrary@uh.edu or call 832.842.2865. The UH System at Cinco Ranch library is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Thursday, 8.am. to 5 p.m., Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdays.

• You will need an ID number from your university in order to borrow books or use online databases. Here are links to instructions for obtaining an ID number:

The full text of many journal articles is accessible through your home university’s online database. To find it, follow the procedures below:

Finding Books and Articles

Once you find a book or article through your home university’s online catalog, books may be ordered for delivery to the UH System at Cinco Ranch and articles may be delivered to any address. A student ID is required.

Reserving Materials

UH-Victoria offers many items for electronic reserve. UH, UHCL, and UHD students can search online catalogs for reserve materials. For more information, visit:
