Admission
begins with choosing the degree you want to pursue. Academic advisors
can help plan the best route to selecting and completing your degree.
After selecting a degree program, contact an academic advisor
(by phone or e-mail) from the university offering the degree. This
university will become your “home
university” and will assist in your application process. Undergraduate
students mayalso obtain an application at https://www.applytexas.org.
Along with an application, send official sealed transcripts from
all colleges you have attended to your home university. Graduate
students must also submit scores from the appropriate graduate exams.

Registration
Course registration is quick and easy when you use your home university's
online or telephone registration systems. As these systems are available
only during scheduled times, check your home university's calendar

Testing
Each degree program has specific entrance requirements. Please
consult the catalog of your home university program. Since UH System
at Cinco Ranch is a junior-, senior-, and graduate-level institution,
most students satisfy the Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA),
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), or American College Test (ACT) requirements
at a local community college or other institution of higher education.
All Texas teacher certification candidates must take and pass
all sections of the THEA.
In general, all students seeking a master’s degree must submit
test scores taken within the last five years. MBA students must
take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Counseling majors
may take either the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) or Graduate Record
Examination (GRE). Most other master's require the GRE. International
students must submit satisfactory scores on the Test of English
as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
